Restoring
connections

to the things we live with—and the forests they come from.

We create furniture with known origins, visible hands, and a future beyond trends.

Because connection changes how we care.

Most things around us arrive anonymously. We don’t know where they came from, who made them, or what they cost the world to exist.

When origins disappear, so does responsibility. You can’t love what you don’t know. So, we tell the stories from our forests, people, products and homes.

We help to choose fewer things, keep them longer, and value what already exists.

That’s how we build reconnection between us, the products we love and the landscapes they come from.

On top of all that, with each product we sell, we reinvest in local regenerative projects

Our first harvest.

We begin by selecting the right wood for our products.

We don’t find our wood at the next timber store, we handpick in the forest — for the best quality and total transparency.

Rebuilding our forests, one product at a time.

Stripped
Oak

It’s a long but just 14m wide strip of private forest where our first oaks grew old. Our selected trees have been stripped and pealed in the past, and maybe that’s one reason why they reached the end of their lives, with some strong branches already dead and woodpeckers starting to show interest.

We are tangled with the living world, if we admid it or not.

“AREA treats forest management and value creation as a holistic system.”

We use timber to protect forests.

How does that work?
